Part-time Parks Crew Member

Class Summary

This is a part‑time position with a maximum of 1,508 hours per year and is not eligible for paid holidays, leave, or benefits.

This part‑time Parks Crew Member position will be responsible for maintaining the parks’ safety and cleanliness for public use, as well as assuring the integrity of the County’s renowned park system. The incumbent will provide customer service assistance, perform janitorial duties and routine inspections of grounds, and collect litter while maintaining a healthy and safe work environment.

• Interacting with the public during pavilion rentals
• Overseeing pavilion rentals
• Providing restroom upkeep and maintenance
• Conducting park safety checks and general park inspections
• Assisting with Youth Athletic Associations
• Preparing incident reports as needed
• Performing end‑of‑day facility lock‑up and setting alarm
• Providing equipment preventative maintenance
• Performing landscaping duties as needed
• Performing other duties of a similar nature or level as assigned

• Interacting with Youth Athletic Associations and pavilion and facility customers

• This job may require on‑call rotation and emergency after hours, weekends, and/or holidays.

• Hourly rate: $16.80

• Must be 16 years of age or older
• General experience in customer service, janitorial services, and/or grounds maintenance
• Valid driver’s license
