Job Description:
DUTIES:
- Under general supervision, the Custodian will be responsible for housekeeping duties on the Oconee Fall Line Technical College Dublin Campus.
- Performs a variety of routine duties such as cleaning floors, windows, fixtures, stairs, restrooms and doors.
- Custodian must know the regulations on safety measures.
- Able to recognize cleaning agent/materials.
- Operate floor machines (buffers, carpet extractors, vacuum cleaners, etc.)
- Maintain orderly appearance in all storage areas.
- Responsible for appearance/cleanliness of specified areas.
- Must be able to lift, push, or pull 25-50 lbs.
- Flexibility in work schedule and may be required to work evening and weekend hours.
- High School Diploma or equivalency.
- Valid driver's license.
- Three years of custodial experience.
- Knowledge and skills in the use of custodial tools and methods.
- Knowledge of safety guidelines.
- Knowledge of college policies and procedures.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to read and comprehend is very important because all cleaning chemicals give warnings plus what to do in case of an emergency.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Minimum Qualifications:
No experience is required.
