Roadside Technician Commercial Tires - Scarborough, ME

Position Overview

Roadside Technician – Emergency Response Tire Technician for semi‑truck fleets. Responsibilities include traveling to customer locations to repair or replace commercial tires, assisting with shop duties, and maintaining a high acceptance rate during on‑call rotation.

• Respond to after‑hours service calls with a 95% acceptance rate.
• Travel to customer sites to service commercial tires (dismounting, mounting, repair).
• Perform match mounting, dual assemblies, and radial runout as required.
• Inflate tires to the prescribed PSI for load requirements.
• Comply with OSHA regulations, use PPE, tire cages, and follow safety policies.
• Help mount orders, clean and organize the shop during downtime.

Starting Pay: $23–$26 hourly. On‑call rotation is mandatory; after‑hours work is paid at double time with a minimum of 2 hours per call. Example:
Accept, arrive, and complete a 45‑minute call → receive an extra 1 h 15 min double‑time pay.

• Valid driver’s license and meet commercial driver qualification requirements.
• At least 21 years old.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous commercial service tire experience.
