An international automotive components manufacturer is searching for an Accounting Manager to join their team in the Schaumburg, IL area
. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, with focus on inventory reconciliations, tax preparations, internal control projects, and other related responsibilities. This is a full-time, direct-hire position with an excellent benefits package, including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as 401(K) matching.
- Review and analyze company financial data for accuracy and identify any discrepancies
- Oversee accounts payable invoicing provided by accounting clerks
- Review all payroll information provided by division offices and prepare payroll entries
- Aid Operations Manager on-site at other division locations as needed in relation to accounting tasks
- Oversee cost planning functions re: projected business expenses, material and labor costs, budgets, purchasing expenses, etc.
- Manage day-to-day banking activities, including assisting accounting clerks with bank deposits
- Work in collaboration with company Treasurer on assigned projects
- Other duties, as deemed necessary
- Four-year degree in Accounting or other relevant field of study preferred, or comparable combination of education and work experience
- CPA certification strongly preferred
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting showing increasing work responsibilities
- Proven experience with Microsoft Navision, Business Central a plus
- Strong accounting knowledge of accounting functions as applicable to manufacturing
- Highly adaptable, with strong problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work unsupervised effectively with all levels of management and support staff
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively in a multi‑cultural environment
- This position includes office work in a manufacturing and warehousing environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear.
You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
