Senior Staff Accountant
Our $3 billion revenue manufacturing client located in the Schaumburg area seeks a Senior Staff Accountant to join the team. This role is ONSITE and just minutes off the I90 expressway. Growth has been explosive which has created the push for more talent. This is an upwardly mobile role with regular exposure with C-Suite company leaders and has strong promotion potential.

Duties include:
- Participates in various areas of Accounting and Finance, production/inventory accounting, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable; provides proper guidance to ensure the smooth flow of information between all groups.
- Ability to lead the month end close process and prepare required journal entries.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual Sales Tax Filings and Reporting
- Maintain assigned capital & expense project records.
- Reconcile GL account balances with understanding of all fluctuations.
- Assist with the annual standard cost setting related to both material valuation and overhead calculations.
- Assist with the root case analysis of inventory adjustments.
- Assist with profitability analysis for product lines and sales margin analysis.
- Participate as needed in reviewing payroll administered through third-party payroll service provider.
- Assist in preparation and analysis consolidated financial statements and other internal or external financial reporting.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Assist with the implementation of upgraded software required for the accounting team.
- Identify process inefficiencies, recommending efficient process alternatives, and facilitating the implementation of process improvements as it relates to the areas of responsibility.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- BS/BA in Accounting or Finance.
- Prior ERP experience.
- Intermediate or advanced excel skills is a plus.
