$160,000–$170,000 annually

MOHR Talent is conducting a confidential search for an established public-accounting and advisory firm in the northwest Chicago suburbs. The office is approximately five miles from Schaumburg. The employer’s identity and exact worksite will be shared with qualified candidates before an interview is scheduled.

This is a strong opportunity for an active CPA who wants to manage complex tax engagements, own important client relationships, and grow into formal team leadership. The position includes five weeks of PTO and an eight-to-ten-month adjustment period before assuming direct reports.

What You’ll Do

• Manage complex tax engagements from planning through completion.
• Review returns for high-net-worth individuals and pass-through entities.
• Support Estate and Trust tax engagements.
• Research federal and state tax matters.
• Manage engagement budgets, deadlines, work papers, and staff assignments.
• Identify additional services that may benefit existing clients.
• Train, coach, and support tax professionals.
• Work with firm leadership on client retention and new initiatives.
• Participate in networking and practice-development activities.

What You’ll Need

• Active CPA license
• Tax Manager, Tax Supervisor, or advanced Tax Senior experience
• Strong partnership, S-corporation, and pass-through tax experience
• Estate and Trust tax exposure
• Experience reviewing complex returns
• Experience managing engagements, budgets, and deadlines
• Direct client advisory and relationship-management experience
• Experience with CCH tax software and Quick Books Online

Schedule and Travel

• 100% on-site at the office or a client location
• Standard schedule of approximately 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday
• Saturday availability required during Tax Season
• Regular local travel to client locations, meetings, and seminars
