A nonprofit organization is seeking an organized, personable, and detail-oriented Administrative & PR Assistant to support daily office operations, member communications, events, and fundraising activities. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, coordinating events, and handling a variety of administrative tasks in a community-oriented organization.
Key Responsibilities- Answer phone calls and respond to emails from members and external contacts
- Maintain member information, payments, and other records in the database
- Manage office supplies, incoming and outgoing mail, and general administrative tasks
- Prepare and distribute a weekly email newsletter
- Assist with planning and coordinating member, community, and cultural events
- Support fundraising events and Foundation grant activities
- Coordinate event invitations, registrations, and attendee lists
- Assist with meetings and communications with other business and community organizations
- Write and proofread articles and other content for newsletters and online communications
- Support weekend events as needed
- Assist the Executive Director and staff with special projects and other administrative duties
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong English and Japanese communication skills; native or native-level Japanese preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Professional and dependable with a positive attitude
- Previous administrative, event coordination, customer service, or nonprofit experience is a plus
- Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Hybrid schedule: approximately 2 days in the office and 3 days remote
- Some weekend work is required for events
- During the initial training period, the position will generally be based in the office for several weeks
- $46,200 per year
