Software Product Manager

Position Overview

The Software Product Manager is responsible for product strategy and execution within our software product portfolio. This role collaborates with senior leadership on business objectives, sets product roadmaps, and drives innovation and growth within the software domain. The position manages strategic alignment, prioritization, and resource allocation while partnering with engineering, design, and go-to-market teams to deliver successful products.

• Own product strategy and roadmap for the software product line, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives
• Set product vision, strategy, and direction for area of responsibility
• Make critical decisions regarding resource allocation, product investments, and long‑term product vision
• Champion innovation within the product area and encourage experimentation and creative problem‑solving

• Create comprehensive product requirements documents (PRDs) that guide development teams
• Define and track OKRs for product area, ensuring team alignment on goals and metrics
• Build compelling business cases with ROI analysis for product initiatives
• Prioritize features and initiatives based on business value, customer impact, and strategic alignment
• Work with Engineering leadership to ensure product development teams are working effectively
• Facilitate effective roadmap discussions with senior stakeholders and create company‑wide transparency

• Champion customer‑centric approaches and establish feedback loops with customers and stakeholders
• Actively gather customer insights through interviews, surveys, and data analysis
• Maintain deep understanding of differentiation and value proposition versus key competitors
• Develop strong understanding of market, social, and technology trends
• Conduct competitive analysis to identify threats and opportunities within product domain

• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams on product launches and positioning
• Partner with Marketing to develop positioning, messaging, and sales enablement materials
• Support sales enablement with product knowledge and customer insights
• Measure and report on launch success and product adoption
• Work closely with cross‑functional teams and senior leadership to drive alignment and achieve product goals

• Use product analytics tools effectively to measure success and inform decisions
• Leverage data‑driven insights to monitor performance, identify trends, and gain insights into product usage
• Demonstrate strong proficiency in user research methodologies including interviews, surveys, and usability testing

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
• 5-7 years of Software Product Management or related experience with both cloud and on‑premise applications
• Proven success in developing software product roadmaps and executing product launches
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies (Kanban, Scrum)

• Strong strategic thinking skills with understanding of market landscape, customer needs, and business objectives
• Demonstrated business acumen and comprehensive understanding of industry, market, and competitive dynamics
• Technical fluency to collaborate effectively with engineering teams
• Ability to apply design thinking principles to problem‑solving
• Strong leadership skills with ability to provide guidance and influence cross‑functional partners
