- Labor Management Program Implementation: drive development and deployment of a comprehensive labor management program, including workforce planning, productivity measurement, and labor standards to optimize workforce utilization.
- Lead Automation Projects: design, develop, and implement cutting‑edge automation solutions within distribution centers, aiming to enhance operational efficiency, accuracy, and throughput.
- Continuous Improvement Initiatives: identify, analyze, and lead improvement projects across distribution centers, focusing on process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency gains.
- Data Collection and Reporting: gather, analyze, and report on key performance metrics related to distribution center operations, providing actionable insights for decision‑making.
- Cross‑Functional
Collaboration:
work closely with cross‑functional teams, including Operations, IT, and Supply Chain, to ensure seamless integration of industrial engineering solutions and alignment with broader business goals. - Financial Responsibility: manage financial aspects of a project team, including estimating expenditures, contributing to AFEs, purchasing materials and/or services, monitoring and tracking costs, and payment.
- Project Management: manage multiple projects simultaneously; provide guidance and training to interns, new hires, and other engineers; participate in and lead teams.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in industrial/manufacturing engineering, operations research, statistics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a labor management program, engineering labor standards within a distribution or fulfillment center.
- 3+ years of experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD tool.
- 3+ years of experience with Lean Six Sigma methodology.
- 3+ years of experience with SQL.
- Experience with distribution automation technologies.
- Proficiency in SQL, analytics, simulation, and project management tools.
- Demonstrated problem‑solving skills, ability to analyze complex systems and develop innovative engineering solutions.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills and a proven track record of managing cross‑functional projects.
Location:
Dekalb, IL.
Travel: up to 25% domestic/international.
Relocation assistance may be authorized.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship for a visa.
Benefits3M offers programs to enhance physical and financial well‑being and competitive pay and benefits. Compensation is between $124,127 and $151,710 for base pay plus variable incentive pay.
