The Product Management Senior Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for the development of product plans, strategies and tactics in coordination with the Product Management team. The overall objective of this role is to coordinate the promotion of products to develop new markets, increase share of market and obtain competitive position.
Responsibilities:- Assist in development and analysis of strategic product roadmaps, product enhancement and development, product launches, and product marketing to gain maximum benefit from each product, as well as review surveys and analyze competitive industry landscapes to identify relative trends, threats, and opportunities for product managers
- Participate in day-to-day product management for core products such as product delivery, client experience, and client communication strategies as well as help the team prioritize, negotiate, and remove obstacles to achieve business results
- Execute client value propositions, positioning, segmentation, pricing, targeting, channel strategies, and competitive differentiation to achieve preferred status as a partner to Citi clients
- Provide informal guidance or on-the-job training to new team members
- Oversee client and competitor market research, develop product innovation roadmap, and assist product managers in addressing fundamental trials of product commoditization to create an advanced set of solutions
- Contribute to achievement of acquisition targets, product financial performance, revenue performance, and expense management goals as well as oversee identification and execution of opportunities and gaps business plans
- Implement team procedures, client problem resolution, and client management
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
- 10+ years of experience
- Knowledge of marketing, credit, acquisitions, product development, and/or analytics
- Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Demonstrated analytical skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Bachelor's degree/University degree. Master's degree preferred
This role will play a critical part in unlocking our ability to drive competitive positioning and offers across new and existing partners. This individual will be responsible for the following:
- Business Insights and Intelligence:
This individual will be responsible for uncovering and communicating emerging industry trends, card spend insights, competitive insights and potential disrupters to inform overall business development strategy and competitive positioning.
- Economic and Commercial Definitions:
This individual will partner with Finance and other functional stakeholders to lead the economic and commercial definitions and terms for deals across either new or existing partners, driving transparency, providing innovative solutions for competitive positioning, optimizing existing relationships and gaining concurrence from the deal team.
- Pricing:
This role will develop, manage and communicate key pricing guardrails for deals to ensure competitive positioning as well as appropriate revenue returns. - Performance Insights:
This individual will develop the appropriate internal reporting required to ensure oversight of deal/portfolio performance, continued awareness of specific guardrails and driving dialogue on optimization of guardrails.
- This individual will also be expected to develop strong cross-functional working relationships with a set of peers across USCC on delivering key strategic objectives supporting USCC and Citi strategic goals and investor day commitments.
This role will require an individual with business knowledge, exceptional relationship management, communication and influencing skills at all levels, a strong focus on strategic execution. Excellent collaboration, communication and negotiation skills are required, often at a senior level.
