Marketing Production Specialist

We are seeking a Production Designer / Marketing Production Specialist to provide hands-on production and pre-press design support during a maternity leave. This role is critical to maintaining daily marketing and print operations and requires someone who can work independently, accurately, and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

This is not a conceptual or campaign design role. The focus is on execution, file preparation, templated design, and artwork coordination.

• Prepare print-ready files including:
• Contour cut lines
• Vendor-specific production specs
• Place existing artwork (logos, graphics, illustrations) into predefined templates
• Ensure all files meet print and production requirements prior to release

• Make quick-turn edits to existing PDFs (dates, times, text changes, re-exports)
• Update and redistribute marketing materials while maintaining brand consistency

• Create, duplicate, and maintain branded templates for materials such as:
• Posters
• Flyers
• Holiday cards
• Adapt templates when brand assets (e.g., logos) need to be added or updated

• Support online templates built in Chili Publish (or similar platform)
• Publish and manage templates through Litho (DAM/workflow system)
• Maintain backend templates used for self-service marketing collateral
• Partner with a part-time team member supporting this function
• Learn internal systems and workflows quickly (prior experience helpful but not required)
• Manage artwork for promotional and branded items
• Review vendor specs and incoming artwork proofs
• Lay out logos and designs according to vendor requirements
• Route files for internal review and approval prior to production

• Adobe Creative Suite proficiency (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
• Experience with print production, pre-press, or marketing production design
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
• Comfort managing multiple tasks and deadlines
• Experience editing PDFs and working within established brand guidelines

• ~5 years experience in print graphics, production design, or similar roles
• Familiarity with online templating platforms (e.g., Chili Publish or similar)
• Experience working with DAM or print workflow systems
• Prior experience in an in-house creative, print shop, or marketing operations environment
• Role is primarily on-site, especially during onboarding and training
• Once fully trained and self-sufficient, up to 2 remote days per week may be available
