Job Summary
The primary objective of the Customer Service Representative is to provide exceptional customer service by supplying accurate information, resolving issues, and completing requests related to commenced contracts. This role encourages repeat business with existing customers, vendors, and sources. The incumbent serves as the first point of contact and liaison between the customer, vendor or source and all internal departments.
Responsibilities- Respond to a wide variety of issues/requests from customers, vendors, and sources in a timely and professional manner.
- Focus on phone requests, effectively communicating with callers, taking ownership of problems, analyzing and researching as appropriate, and delivering solutions.
- Explain contractual obligations to customers, including interim rent, late charges, end‑of‑term options, and tax responsibility.
- Maintain service‑level goals within a phone queue, such as abandon rate and response time.
- Provide current accounting information and complete administrative requests (e.g., address changes, ACH documentation, credit references).
- Accurately distribute issues handled outside the customer‑service group, such as sales and collections calls.
- Resolve problems involving payment misapplications, billing errors, and incorrect customer or contract information.
- Coordinate with Legal, Accounting, and Operations as needed to resolve issues.
- Build and maintain an understanding of various programs and products; stay informed on department policies, procedures, and process exceptions.
- Perform other projects and initiatives to enhance portfolio effectiveness and overall company performance.
- Associate degree in business or related field, or equivalent work experience (minimum 2 additional years).
- Minimum of 1 year finance/banking experience.
- Minimum of 2 years customer service or collections experience.
- Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Previous equipment finance experience.
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills and sound decision‑making ability.
- Solid PC skills and analytical problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
Exempt Status: Not eligible for overtime pay.
Compensation and Benefits- Hourly wage: $22.00 – $34.00, with incentive compensation applicable.
