Field Service Trainer

Mazak Corporation is looking for a Field Service Trainer to join the Midwest Service department at our Midwest Technology Center located in Schaumburg, IL. This position will have the responsibility to organize, create and conduct training classes for both regional and North American service associates. The position reports regionally but also dotted line to National Service for consistency of delivery purposes.

Scope and Responsibilities:

• Proactively attains a safe and healthy work environment for all employees
• Maintains role as FSE in field service. Perform regular FSE or Technical Support duties as needed by regional service schedule.
• In conjunction with National Training, assist in creating training course curriculum and associated tests.
• Onboarding all new FSE.
• Ensures mandatory training in region is maintained at 95% or better for Mazak, Distributor & Vendor FSE.
• Assist in assessing FSE technical ability.
• Define training plan for each regional FSE to reach skill level 3 or better.
• Train regional associates.
• Conduct testing to verify course material has been communicated and retained.
• Provide feedback for updating training courses based on test results.
• One-to-one training in the field at regional/customer locations.
• Provide training courses in region or in location within North America approx. once per month.
• Maintain accurate training and test records in UKG.
• Engage with Mazak North American and Global Head Office's to align training delivery to corporate goals and strategies.
• Travel across North America as required.
• Participates in Pre-Install Meetings as required for technical support.
• Utilizes excellent written & oral communication, organizational and presentation skills.
• Presents a professional, focused image and actively promotes this concept to others.

Education/Certification:

• High school diploma.
• Completion of Train the Trainer course.
• Extensive experience on Mazak Machine Tools.
• Six years' minimum experience in the field or a related position is preferred.
• Microsoft Office experience.
