High School Math Instructor

Job Description

CCA Academy is a charter high school located in Chicago’s North Lawndale community. CCA is seeking a Math instructor that creates and maintains a rigorous and nurturing environment where student learning is prioritized. It is a small school with a theme based urban agriculture/sustainability program complemented with restorative justice.

Instructors use a skills based competency curriculum. They must work with students at different academic levels and abilities to ensure that all students are actively engaged in learning. They must have high expectations of students and must be committed to building and maintaining a culture of educational excellence in a low-income urban setting. They must have the ability to work collaboratively with all members of the CCA learning community to maintain a healthy culture.

Must commit to the school's mission to create lifelong learners and vision to empower students to reach their full potential; must have the ability to think critically and analytically; must recognize and respect the dignity and potential of all students; and must have strong interpersonal and extraordinary communication skills.

Professional Educator License with an endorsement in high school Math.
