We are seeking an experienced Operational Technology (OT) Engineer to join a growing Systems Engineering team supporting advanced industrial automation and control system customers throughout the Midwest region.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in OT infrastructure, industrial networking, virtualization, and control systems support within manufacturing or process plant environments. The position combines hands-on technical work, customer interaction, troubleshooting, and onsite support for critical industrial systems.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain OT infrastructure and industrial control systems
• Assist customers with system upgrades, migrations, troubleshooting, and optimization
• Configure and support virtualization environments and system hosting platforms
• Manage and troubleshoot industrial networks, firewalls, and OT cybersecurity systems
• Support Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and related automation platforms
• Perform onsite commissioning, startup, and technical support activities
• Work closely with customers to diagnose and resolve operational issues
• Create technical documentation, reports, and recommendations
• Collaborate with engineering, field service, and project teams
• Participate in customer site visits and support activities throughout the region

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Operational Technology, Controls Engineering, DCS, Industrial Networking, or related automation environments
• Experience supporting industrial or plant-floor systems
• Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
• Understanding of OT infrastructure, industrial networking, and cybersecurity concepts
• Experience with Windows Server administration in OT environments preferred
• Exposure to DCS platforms such as Delta
  
  V, Honeywell, ABB, or similar systems is a plus
• Strong troubleshooting and customer communication skills
• Ability to travel approximately 30-40% as needed

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $105K-$125K (flexibility for highly qualified candidates)

Additional Information

• First 6 months are primarily onsite, then hybrid 2 days a week after the onboarding period
