Responsible for the architecture, design, implementation, optimization, and operation of ISP backbone, IP/MPLS, DWDM, enterprise, and voice network infrastructures. The role includes scalable network design, telecom and carrier integration, datacenter interconnects, enterprise connectivity solutions, voice infrastructure support, peering infrastructure, redundancy planning, and long‑term infrastructure strategy for mission‑critical environments.

• Design and architect ISP backbone, aggregation, enterprise, transport, and voice networks
• Develop scalable IP/MPLS, DWDM, enterprise, and VoIP network architectures
• Design high‑availability and redundant carrier‑grade infrastructure
• Design and optimize interconnection with telecom operators, carriers, IXPs, datacenters, and enterprise customers
• Design enterprise LAN/WAN, VPN, and multi‑site connectivity solutions
• Support SIP, VoIP, and IP telephony infrastructure integration
• Plan backbone capacity, traffic engineering, and future network expansion
• Design datacenter interconnect (DCI), metro, and long‑haul transport solutions
• Configure and troubleshoot:
• BGP / OSPF / EIGRP / VPN
• Traffic Engineering
• Carrier Ethernet / L2 Switching
• Enterprise routing and switching
• Design and maintain DWDM systems including:
• Optical amplifiers
• Perform optical budget calculations, wavelength planning, and fiber path optimization
• Develop standards for cross‑connects, handoffs, VLAN allocation, routing policies, and enterprise integration
• Backbone migrations, integration projects, and network expansion initiatives
• Maintain HLD/LLD diagrams, engineering standards, and operational documentation

• Expert‑level knowledge of:
• BGP / OSPF / EIGRP / VPN
• Carrier Ethernet
• IPv4 / IPv6
• Enterprise routing and switching
• L2 Networking, VLANs, STP, VRRP/HSRP
• Strong knowledge of:
• Telecom interconnection standards
• VPN technologies
• SIP and VoIP
• High‑availability and redundancy design
• Scripting (Preferred)
• ISP core and edge networks
• Carrier integration and peering infrastructure
• Familiarity with voice platforms and SIP trunk integration preferred
• Strong understanding of scalability, resiliency, segmentation, and fault isolation
• Experience with routing and optical platforms from:
• Fortinet

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Networking, Computer Engineering, or related field preferred
• 5+ years’ experience in ISP, telecom, enterprise, or datacenter environments
• Proven experience designing and integrating carrier‑grade and enterprise networks
• Experience working with telecom operators, enterprise customers, carriers, and interconnection facilities
• Scripting (Optional)
