The Documentation Compliance Reviewer monitors and ensures compliance of local public agency transportation projects funded by Motor Fuel Tax, state, and federal programs with departmental policies, state statutes, federal regulations, and the Grant Accountability and Transparency Act. This Engineering Technician IV position in the Illinois Department of Transportation's Ottawa office reviews project documentation, maintains tracking systems, coordinates with field staff and agencies, and provides training and assistance to local public agencies on compliance requirements.
Keyqualifications
- Two years of college in civil engineering technology, pre-engineering, or related technical/science curriculum plus five years of engineering experience, or seven years of engineering experience
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel
- Strong oral and written communication skills and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Successful completion of background screening
