Electrical Design Engineer
This role focuses on the design, development, and implementation of industrial electrical control systems, including control panels and cabinets. The Electrical Design Engineer develops initial concepts, prepares proposals and cost estimates, creates detailed schematics and bills of materials, and supports projects from design through startup and ongoing support.
Responsibilities:
- Design industrial electrical control panels and cabinets using tools such as AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, and Solidworks.
- Generate detailed electrical schematics and bills of materials (B.O.M.) for three-phase power and control circuits.
- Design three-phase power circuits (up to 575 VAC) including motors, heaters, transformers, and related power components.
Essential
Skills:
- 3–5 years of experience designing electrical systems using AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, and Solidworks.
- Hands-on experience designing industrial electrical control panels and cabinets.
- Experience with three-phase power systems up to 575 VAC.
Additional Skills &
Qualifications:
- Experience with Solidworks Electrical, as this is used for electrical design within the organization.
- HMI interface development experience, including screen layout and user interaction design.
- Experience supporting system startup and commissioning activities.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Schaumburg, IL.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $44.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
