Senior Electrical Engineer - Buildings

Overview

Valdes Architecture & Engineering is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer / Electrical Design Engineer to contribute to design, drafting, and project execution with supervision/mentorship as required.

• Electrical design with the capabilities and the initiative to perform the following tasks with supervisory/mentor assistance as required.
• Design computations; prepare estimates, bill of materials, construction drawings, and other engineering documents.
• Participate in client meetings to determine job requirements, discuss progress of job‑related problems, and find solutions.
• Assist the discipline engineer or senior/principal designer in the development of the design portion of the work.
• Review design drawings to ensure correct engineering and client approval.
• Ensure the project is within scope, budget, and schedule.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 6+ years of technical training in design and drafting.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license required.
• Strong background in everyday use of Revit.
• Strong attention to detail is required.
• Basic experience with AutoCAD or Microstation.
• Solid Microsoft Office skills.
• Must possess exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.

Salary: $120,000 - $165,000 a year. Salaries are based on factors including experience, education, skills, and qualifications. Compensation may vary and is discussed during the interview process.
