Overview
Anthony J. Madonia & Associates, Ltd. is seeking a Senior Certified Public Accountant to join our established and respected practice. This full-time, on-site position will support the firm’s attorneys and clients in matters involving estate planning, probate, trust administration, and tax-related strategies. The ideal candidate is a seasoned CPA with a minimum of 5 years of experience, comfortable working directly with clients and leading internal accounting support, while collaborating with attorneys on complex financial and planning matters.
This individual will play a key role in both client service and internal team oversight.
- Provide accounting and tax guidance related to estate planning, probate, and trust administration matters
- Prepare and review fiduciary income tax returns, estate tax returns, and individual tax filings
- Assist with trust and estate administration, including tracking assets, distributions, and reporting
- Support attorneys and clients with financial analysis and planning strategies
- Advise on tax implications related to wealth transfer, inheritance, and long-term planning
- Collaborate with attorneys to develop comprehensive planning strategies for clients
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
- Communicate clearly with clients, beneficiaries, and other professionals
- Oversee, mentor, and provide guidance to junior CPAs and accounting staff
- Review work product for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in Illinois, or ability to obtain licensure in Illinois
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax, accounting, or financial planning
- Experience working with estates, trusts, or high-net-worth clients strongly preferred
- Proven ability to oversee, mentor, and manage other CPAs or accounting staff
- Strong understanding of tax regulations, fiduciary accounting, and financial reporting
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent communication and client service skills
Compensation: $125,000 - $150,000 yearly
