Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant

Better Lending is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Loan Officer Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate must have prior mortgage experience and be comfortable supporting loan officers in a fast-paced lending environment.

• Assist loan officers with daily loan origination and pipeline management tasks
• Collect, review, and organize borrower documentation
• Follow up with borrowers, loan officers, processors, and underwriters to help move files efficiently through the pipeline
• Review loan files for accuracy, completeness, and missing documentation
• Communicate with clients in a professional and timely manner
• Maintain compliance with lending regulations, mortgage guidelines, and company policies
• Support the team in ensuring a smooth and timely loan process

• Prior mortgage experience is required
• Previous Loan Officer Assistant or mortgage processing experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of loan documentation and mortgage guidelines
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to work in-office at our Schaumburg location
