Responsibilities
Operates and maintain various cleaning equipment/tools such as vacuums, mops, dust mops, darts, sweeper extractors, scrubbers. Clean carpets, tile, wood flooring.
Clean all areas assigned given by department manager following standard precautions as set forth by OSHA and State Health Department.
Under the leadership of the Housekeeping Manager and/or Lead, performs according to established policies and procedures a variety of Housekeeping Services to maintain great levels of cleanness and high resident and guest satisfaction.
Maintain facility in a sanitary and infection free condition through washing and cleaning.
Required to work in residential and common areas as well as public restrooms, pool and other recreational areas.
Responsible for disposal of trash/waste.
Must handle various cleaning chemicals and comply with regulations such as OSHA, EPA and State Health Department. Read and understand MSDS and labels.
Must follow the required procedures for handling, cleaning, disposing of material or cleaning of blood and body fluids in accordance with OSHA blood borne pathogens standards.
Maintain daily and project schedules and notify manager of any changes.
Assist in maintaining needed levels of supplies and chemicals and notify manager when needed.
Must be able to communicate with staff and residents.
Experience working in senior living or long term care preferred.
