Banquet Set Up Lead

Marriott is seeking a Banquet Set Up Lead to oversee the preparation of meeting and event spaces in our hotels. This hands-on role coordinates room layouts, tables, chairs, staging, and décor to meet event orders and brand standards. You'll lead and support a small team, ensure timely and accurate setups and breakdowns, and partner closely with banquet and catering leaders. The role requires strong organization, communication, and physical stamina, with a passion for hospitality, teamwork, and delivering exceptional guest experiences at every event.

Responsibilities

• Lead banquet room setup and breakdown according to event orders and Marriott brand standards
• Coordinate table layouts, staging, décor, linens, and equipment for meetings and events
• Direct and support banquet setup staff, assigning tasks and monitoring productivity
• Inspect event spaces for cleanliness, safety, and readiness prior to guest arrival
• Liaise with banquet captains, catering, and audio-visual teams to ensure seamless execution
• Maintain inventory and proper storage of banquet furniture, supplies, and equipment
• Quickly troubleshoot setup issues and support last-minute event changes
• Uphold safety procedures, lifting guidelines, and proper use of carts and equipment
• Train new team members on setup procedures, guest service, and quality standards
• Provide courteous, professional assistance to guests and internal partners during events
