On Demand HR Business Partner​/Consultant

MRA-The Management Association is seeking an HR Business Partner to join its HR Services team. This on‑demand, hybrid role works directly with member companies in northeastern Illinois, providing hands‑on HR expertise that drives real business results.

As an HR consultant you’ll partner with organizations across multiple industries, serving as a trusted advisor on both strategic and day‑to‑day HR challenges.

• Initiate and complete ongoing assignments for members (clients) using sound HR practice principles and in the most cost‑effective manner.
• Provide HR support to member organizations ranging from 10 employees to 10,000. Example responsibilities include:
• Payroll & benefits administration
• Policy interpretation & implementation
• Coaching leaders on a variety of employee‑related issues
• Employee life‑cycle management
• HR compliance
• Day‑to‑day HR support
• Employee relations
• Support members with additional project types such as employee handbook development, HR & payroll audits, 3rd‑party investigations, HR systems implementation and integration, and other strategic projects.
• Maintain accurate billable service records and complete semi‑monthly time and activity reporting.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of 10‑12 years of HR experience
• PHR and/or SHRM‑CP certification a plus
• Proficient in MS Excel and Microsoft Office software
• Strong knowledge of multiple HRIS platforms; preferred ADP WFN, UKG Pro, Paylocity, Paycom, and/or Paycor
• Prior hands‑on experience processing payroll
• Ability to travel to member companies on‑site within an hour of Schaumburg, IL
