A leading national law firm is seeking an Employment & Labor Associate with 3+ years of relevant experience to join its growing management-side practice in Chicago.

The successful candidate will advise and represent employers across a broad range of labor and employment matters, with a particular focus on traditional labor issues, union matters and employment counseling. The position offers substantial direct client contact alongside opportunities to become involved in professional and business development.

• Advise and represent employers on labor and employment matters
• Counsel clients on federal and state employment laws
• Handle traditional labor matters involving unions and organized work forces
• Advise employers on issues arising under the National Labor Relations Act
• Represent employers in connection with union-related matters
• Assist clients with day-to-day employment counseling and workforce issues
• Develop direct relationships with clients and take meaningful responsibility for matters
• Participate in professional and new client development opportunities

• 3+ years of relevant labor and employment experience
• Law firm experience representing employers required
• Strong knowledge of the National Labor Relations Act
• Experience representing employers in connection with unions
• Experience advising employers on federal and state employment laws
• Strong academic credentials
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working directly with clients
• Interested in contributing to business and professional development

Salary Range: $220,000 - $275, 000

Associates are also eligible for a discretionary bonus.
