Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead the design and evolution of complex, enterprise-scale digital ecosystems. This role requires deep experience across digital experience platforms, enterprise web applications, cloud services, and system integrations, with the ability to operate effectively in environments that span both Adobe and non-Adobe technologies.
The ideal candidate is a strategic technologist who can define target-state architectures, guide modernization efforts, and ensure seamless integration across platforms while aligning technology decisions with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities Enterprise Architecture & StrategyDefine and drive enterprise architecture strategies and roadmaps across digital, web, and integration platforms.
Align business capabilities with scalable, secure, and future-ready technology solutions.
Establish architectural standards, principles, and governance models across programs and teams.
Digital Experience & Platform ArchitectureLead architecture for digital experience platforms.
Design composable and headless architectures that integrate content, data, and engagement platforms with enterprise systems.
Guide platform modernization, cloud adoption, and system upgrades.
Integration & Application ArchitectureArchitect and govern integrations across CRM, ERP, Mar Tech, eCommerce, analytics, and custom enterprise applications.
Design API-led, microservices-based, and event-driven architectures.
Evaluate and implement integration platforms, middleware, and API management solutions.
Ensure performance, reliability, security, and observability across integrated systems.
Enterprise Web & Cloud ArchitectureDesign enterprise web applications using modern frameworks and cloud-native patterns.
Lead architectures across AWS, Azure, or GCP in hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
Support legacy modernization initiatives and platform consolidation efforts.
Leadership & CollaborationAct as a trusted advisor to client executives and internal stakeholders.
Partner with delivery, product, data, and engineering teams to ensure architectural alignment.
Mentor architects and senior engineers across multiple initiatives.
Support pre-sales activities including technical discovery, solution design, and client presentations.
Required Qualifications- 10+ years of experience in enterprise or solution architecture roles.
- Proven experience designing architectures involving digital applications.
- Strong background in enterprise integration, including APIs, microservices, messaging, and middleware.
- Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience architecting large‑scale enterprise web applications and distributed systems.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable architecture.
- Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Adobe Experience Cloud experience (AEM, AEP, Analytics, Target, or related).
- Experience with integration platforms and tools (e.g., Mule Soft, Boomi, Workato, Azure Integration Services).
- Experience with headless CMS, composable architectures, and MACH principles.
- Consulting or client‑facing experience across multiple industries.
- Relevant cloud, architecture, or platform certifications.
Must be based in the Greater Chicago Area and able to work in a hybrid or on‑site capacity as required.
