Startup Lab Associate – UX Design and Research

Job Description

The mission this summer is to build an innovative product from the ground up. You will work with a small, cross‑functional team over 3 months to discover, develop and validate a business case through design research and competitive analysis. Get out of the building and engage your customers. Uncover their pains, gains, and jobs‑to‑be‑done, and rapidly prototype solutions. Use real insights to drive your technical architecture, assess feasibility and build a scalable solution for a validated problem.

Continuously improve your value proposition, business model, and go-to‑market strategy, and prepare to launch a functional MVP before the end of the summer.

• Gather customer feedback and translate it into actionable insights.
• Analyze findings to clearly define user needs and translate them into actionable design goals.
• Iterate on designs based on feedback from users, investors, and team members.
• Design and deliver user process flows, prototypes, mockups and wireframes optimized for the domain of relevant devices and interfaces.
• Develop the confidence to take new ideas from concept to reality.

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or advanced degree in User Experience Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field from a top‑tier university/college, or able to demonstrate significant professional work experience.
• Open minded, curious learner, and comfortable with ambiguity.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Depth of skill in UX Design and Research, with the patience and willingness to collaborate across other disciplines.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, biased towards action, comfortable with fast‑paced environment. Startup experience is a plus.
• You must be fully available—onsite—from June 1 2025 through 28 August 2025.
