IT Advisory Solution Architect

Position : 133044

This role is located in Schaumburg, IL, with the option to work remotely across the U.S.; the position is full‑time. Employment Sponsorship is not offered.

The IT Advisory Solution Architect designs, advises on, and oversees modern cloud‑native enterprise solutions, coordinating with third‑party vendors and service providers to ensure successful delivery.

• Architect end‑to‑end cloud‑native and hybrid enterprise solutions on Azure Cloud PaaS.
• Lead the development of micro‑service based systems using .NET and Azure services.
• Guide project teams across front‑end, back‑end, and database layers, defining architectural decisions and software best practices.
• Design and implement Dev Ops strategies using Azure Dev Ops, Team City, and Octopus Deploy to create delivery pipelines.
• Collaborate with development teams to influence architecture decisions and deliverables.
• Coordinate with external vendors and service delivery partners.
• Serve as a technical advisor in assessments and solution delivery, ensuring alignment with the architectural vision, cost, and time estimates.

• Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a closely related field, plus at least 7 years of experience in IT architecture and solution design.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in enterprise‑grade solutions, micro‑service architecture, and .NET application development.
• Minimum 6 years of experience with Azure Cloud PaaS and Angular (Type Script).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in vendor/service management, designing messaging patterns, integrating message queues, and using Azure Dev Ops tools for pipelines and automation.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with Power Shell scripting for cloud and infrastructure automation, Azure Functions, VNet, Azure Storage and Disk configuration, Azure SQL Server, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, monitoring and alerting frameworks, Git Hub branch management, executive presentation, and multi‑vendor technical delivery.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within the U.S.

Compensation is influenced by factors such as location, role, skill set, and level of experience. The proposed salary range for this position is USD 159,955. Zurich offers a Total Rewards package that may include short‑term incentive bonuses and merit increases.
