Transformational Program Manager

Job Description

This is not just a technical project; it is a business transformation. You will be responsible for the end-to-end program, from strategic planning and roadmap development to governance, cross-functional execution, and successful adoption. The ideal candidate is a master of navigating ambiguity, a brilliant communicator, and has a proven track record of leading complex, post-merger technology integrations.

Scope of Responsibilities / Expectations
  • Strategic Program Leadership:
Develop, own, and execute the end-to-end program. Define program scope, goals, and key performance indicators (KPIs) in alignment with executive-level business objectives.
  • Integration & Consolidation:
Drive the strategy for consolidating disparate systems from acquired entities into a single, unified ecosystem.
  • Governance & Reporting:
Establish and manage a robust program governance framework. Facilitate steering committee meetings, providing clear and concise status updates, risk analyses, and decision-support materials to C-suite and VP-level stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder & Change Management:
Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams and business leaders. Proactively manage expectations, navigate competing priorities, and drive consensus among diverse stakeholder groups from different corporate cultures.
  • Cross-Functional Orchestration:
Lead and coordinate multiple interdependent project streams (e.g., data migration, system configuration, process re-engineering, testing, training) to ensure they remain aligned and on schedule.
  • Risk & Dependency Management:
Proactively identify, track, and mitigate program-level risks, issues, and dependencies. Be the  lookout  who sees challenges coming weeks or months in advance and mobilizes the team to address them.
  • Financial & Resource Management:
Oversee the master program budget, tracking spend and managing forecasts. Coordinate with resource managers to ensure projects are staffed appropriately.
Skills
  • Transformation Leadership: A proven track record of successfully leading at least one (preferably more) large-scale, complex IT transformation program from start to finish.
  • Stakeholder Finesse:
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing skills. Comfortable and credible presenting to C-level executives and can just as easily build rapport with technical architects and business analysts.

  • Proactively evaluate milestones and prepare for the intended outcomes
  • Strong presence and personality to keep things real and hold leaders accountable
