Seeking a senior-level Microsoft Dynamics 365 Production/Warehouse consultant with deep expertise in manufacturing and supply chain to support process optimization, system configuration, and ERP delivery initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze manufacturing and supply chain business processes and recommend D365 best-practice solutions
- Configure and support D365 Supply Chain Management modules:
- Production Control – Warehouse and production are two distinct functions in D365. Understanding or having worked on the Production Modules of D365 – Planning, scheduling, machine setup, etc.
- Inventory Management
- Warehouse Management
- Master Planning (MRP)
- Procurement & Sourcing
- Shop Floor Operations
- Discrete manufacturing, lean manufacturing
- Bill of Materials (BOM), routings, production orders
- Work centers and resource planning
- Facilitate requirements gathering workshops and stakeholder sessions
- Translate business requirements into functional designs and system configurations
- Support data validation, testing, defect resolution, and UAT
- Collaborate with technical teams on integrations, reporting, and customizations
- Lead cutover planning and go-live readiness activities
- Deliver end-user training and post-go-live support
- Identify process improvement opportunities and drive operational efficiencies
- Document business processes, functional specifications, and configuration decisions
- 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management (D365 F&O)
- Strong functional expertise across manufacturing and supply chain modules
- Experience supporting ERP implementations, upgrades, or recovery initiatives
- Deep understanding of:
- Production control
- Inventory management
- MRP / Master Planning
- Warehouse operations
- Procurement processes
- Experience with ERP integrations and cross-functional dependencies
- Strong experience in requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement
- Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced project environment
- Experience in contractor manufacturing environments
- Background in ERP transformation or stabilization projects
- Familiarity with AS400 or legacy manufacturing systems
- Experience with Power Platform, Power BI, or Azure integrations
- Microsoft D365 certifications
- PMP, Agile, or related certifications
- D365 F&O (Supply Chain & Manufacturing)
- Production / MRP / Inventory / Warehouse
- BOM / Routings / Shop Floor Operations
- ERP Implementation & UAT
- Process Mapping & Functional Design
- Stakeholder Management & Workshops
- Testing, Cutover, and Go-Live Support
Location: Schaumburg, IL (Onsite; hybrid possible after initial period)
Duration: 6+ months
Interview: Immediate (MS Teams)
Rate: $60-75p/hr.
