Our client is a highly acquisitive, $1B private equity-based services company undergoing a significant business transformation. Operating through a distributed network of facilities and field operations across North America, the company has built a strong market position through both organic growth and acquisitions.
To support its next phase of growth, the organization is seeking a Director, Data & AI to establish and lead its enterprise data strategy while accelerating the adoption of AI-driven capabilities across the business. This is a highly visible leadership role reporting directly to the CIO and partnering extensively with executive leadership, operations, finance, commercial and IT teams.
The ideal candidate is a strategic minded operator who understands how to leverage data and AI to drive measurable operational and financial outcomes. The successful candidate will bring expertise on enterprise data strategy, governance, KPI standardization, and the practical application of AI within complex operating environments.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute an enterprise data strategy and roadmap to unify data across systems and functions, enabling scalable AI capabilities.
- Collaborate with business leaders to understand priorities, develop strategies and establish standardized KPIs and metrics aligned with business performance.
- Build and implement data governance frameworks, including data ownership, data contracts, and quality controls.
- Partner with operations, finance, commercial and IT teams to improve data quality.
- Lead post-acquisition data integration, building repeatable processes to onboard acquired businesses into a consistent data model.
- Oversee deployment of AI solutions from concept through production.
- Manage external vendors and partners, ensuring alignment with business objectives and quality standards.
- BS in information technology or related field and at least 8 years of experience in data, analytics, strategy, or AI roles.
- 8+ years on consulting or corporate environment.
- Proven ability to translate data into measurable operational improvements.
- Experience implementing and scaling AI solutions.
- Strong cross‑functional leadership across operations, finance, commercial and IT teams.
