File Clerk (Project-Based) – Immediate Hiring
Pay: $19.05/hour
Duration: 1.5 Months (Project-Based)
Potential Extension: Position may or may not be extended based on project completion.
The Fountain Group is hiring a File Clerk for a prominent client. We are seeking dependable, detail-oriented individuals to support a time-sensitive content digitization project. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with document scanning or records management experience who enjoys working in a structured, production-focused environment.
This role requires an immediate start, and we are looking to fill the position as quickly as possible.
Job SummaryAs a File Clerk, you will support the acquisition, processing, and quality assurance of primary source legal content as it is converted into digital formats. The primary focus of this position is scanning printed materials, verifying image quality, and ensuring digital files meet established quality standards.
You will also assist with troubleshooting content and production issues while gaining exposure to additional content management and acquisition processes. A willingness to learn new tasks and adapt to evolving workflows is essential.
Responsibilities- Scan printed documents and hardbound books into digital formats.
- Perform quality assurance reviews of scanned content to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Support the acquisition and processing of legal content for digital products.
- Identify and help resolve production and data quality issues.
- Utilize scanning image software, including Adobe Acrobat.
- Handle and transport hardbound books as part of the scanning process.
- Safely operate a hydraulic cutter when preparing materials for scanning.
- Learn additional upstream and downstream content processes to support the broader content acquisition team.
- Follow established procedures while maintaining productivity and attention to detail.
Required:
- Knowledge of content scanning.
- Familiarity with scanning image software, including Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to lift and manage hardbound books.
- Comfortable using a hydraulic cutter.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Willingness to learn new tasks and processes.
- Working knowledge of State and Federal Case Law to assist with quality assurance of scanned content.
