Platform Manager

Full-Time / Permanent

Location: downtown Chicago; HYBRID (3 days onsite per week)

• Lead the product management and enterprise administration of third-party AI platforms, initially focused on solutions such as ChatGPT and Claude.
• Own the strategy, adoption, governance, and ongoing optimization of enterprise AI platforms rather than developing proprietary AI products.
• Operate as an individual contributor within a broader technology organization supporting data, governance, engineering, and internally developed products.

• Own and administer enterprise AI platforms, including configuration, platform capabilities, adoption, and ongoing optimization.
• Develop and maintain product roadmaps and priorities for enterprise AI platforms.
• Evaluate new AI products, features, vendors, integrations, and emerging technologies.
• Assess AI use cases and stakeholder requests to determine enterprise applicability, scalability, value, and readiness.
• Prioritize competing requests and opportunities and make clear, data-informed recommendations.
• Manage relationships with AI technology vendors and support vendor evaluations and selection.
• Partner with technical teams and stakeholders on APIs, integrations, architecture, data flows, and platform connectivity.
• Understand and evaluate emerging technologies such as Model Context Protocol (MCP) connectors and related integration patterns.
• Support enterprise AI governance, risk, and approval processes in partnership with relevant stakeholders.
• Develop training, enablement, and adoption materials to help users effectively leverage enterprise AI capabilities.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of product management or product ownership experience.
• Experience managing enterprise technology products or platforms within IT, data, or AI.
• Hands-on experience owning, administering, or managing technology platforms.
• Practical familiarity with AI and generative AI tools; conceptual knowledge alone is not sufficient.
• Experience evaluating technology vendors and solutions.
• Experience working within Agile and/or modern product management environments.
• Strong technical fluency, including an understanding of:
• APIs and integrations
• Technical architecture
• Data flows
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to evaluate technical concepts and business needs and translate them into clear product recommendations.
