International Operations Supervisor – Schaumburg, IL

- Deliver exceptional customer service through proactive communication, professionalism, and effective resolution of operational challenges while maintaining strong client relationships.
- Lead and develop a high-performing operations team, strategically managing workload distribution, coaching talent, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Cross‑functional partnership with sales, accounting, and compliance teams to align customer expectations with operational execution and business objectives.
- Oversee end‑to‑end Air/Ocean Export operations, ensuring shipment accuracy, regulatory compliance, timely milestone management, and consistent service excellence.
- Build and maintain strategic carrier, agent, and partner relationships to secure competitive pricing, reliable capacity, and innovative logistics solutions.
- Drive operational excellence through KPI management, process improvement initiatives, detailed SOP development, and customer‑focused problem‑solving.
- Ensure compliance and commercial performance by meeting regulatory standards, responding to specialized client needs, and balancing service delivery with profitability goals.
- 5+ years of leadership experience within the air/ocean export freight forwarding or transportation/logistics industry; import operations experience is a strong advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field preferred; equivalent combinations of relevant industry experience and education will be considered.
- Strong analytical and technical proficiency, with advanced computer skills; experience with Microsoft Office and Power BI is preferred.
- Deep understanding of import/export operational workflows, including regulatory compliance requirements and global trade processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external parties.
- Ability to present ideas in business‑friendly and user‑friendly language.
- Superior listening skills.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Analytical problem‑solving capabilities.
- A proven diverse background in all aspects of freight forwarding and operations within a dynamic growth environment.
