Director of Pricing, Ocean Freight

Are you an ocean freight pricing expert with a passion for strategy, analytics, and leadership?
Noatum Logistics is seeking a Director of Pricing, Ocean Freight to lead our ocean pricing function and drive profitable growth across our global network. This leadership role will oversee FCL and LCL pricing strategies, team development, carrier and partner relationships, RFQ/RFP management, pricing governance, and market intelligence initiatives.
What You’ll Do:- Lead Ocean Freight pricing strategy across key import and export trade lanes
- Oversee RFQ, RFP, and tender pricing for strategic accounts
- Drive pricing governance, margin performance, and rate integrity
- Partner with Sales, Ocean Product, Trade Management, Operations, and Global Tender teams
- Develop analytics, KPIs, and reporting to improve win rates and profitability
- Lead and mentor a high-performing pricing team
- Leverage market intelligence to stay ahead of capacity, pricing, and service trends
- 8+ years of ocean freight forwarding, NVOCC, pricing, procurement, or trade management experience
- 3+ years of leadership experience
- Deep understanding of carrier contracts, surcharges, tariffs, Incoterms, and global trade lanes
- Strong analytical, financial, and negotiation skills
- Experience supporting major customer bids and strategic pricing initiatives
- Knowledge of Cargo Wise, Cargo Sphere, Web Cargo, and pricing management tools is highly preferred
Location: This role can be based in Chicago, IL;
Houston, TX; or Miami, FL.
