Production Planner

Description

HYDAC is a fluid power leader that specializes in the design and development of custom solutions for mobile and industrial markets. We are currently seeking a qualified Production Planner to join our team at our Schaumburg, IL facility. The Production Planner will work with manufacturing to develop a schedule for the production of selected products or product lines. The salary range for this position is between $80-85k.

• Develops a schedule for completing the production of components to meet customer requirements on-time.
• Balance demand forecasts, inventory levels, and manufacturing capacity.
• Monitor material availability and coordinate with purchasing.
• Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts, shortages, and capacity constraints.
• Track production performance and adjust plans as needed.
• Maintain accurate planning data, BOMs, routings, and lead times.
• Works with Customer Service to forecast future production requirements in order to increase or decrease production levels accordingly.
• Monitors the work in progress to determine on-time shipments to customers.
• Prepares reports to Production management, customer service, QA, and product management identifying scheduling concerns and constraints.

• Must be organized and able prioritize based on defined variables.
• Must have strong people skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Excel
• A knowledge of machines, tools, and technology in manufacturing is required.

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field
• 5-7 years experience in production planning or manufacturing scheduling.
• Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems - SAP
• Experience as a planner or scheduler preferred.
