A manufacturing company is seeking a 2nd Shift CMM Operator to perform precision inspections on machined metal components in a fast-paced production environment.
Job Summary
This role is responsible for operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure parts meet strict dimensional and quality requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience with inspection equipment, blueprint reading, and GD&T.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CMM equipment to inspect machined components
- Run or assist with CMM programs (PC-DMIS / Calypso)
- Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections
- Interpret blueprints and GD&T specifications
- Document inspection results and maintain quality records
- Support production and engineering teams on quality issues
- Maintain inspection equipment and ensure calibration standards
- 2+ years of CMM experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with PC-DMIS or Calypso preferred
- Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading
- Experience with precision machined components
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
$18.00 - $23.00/hr + $1.50/hr 2nd shift differential
