Position Summary

The Production Support Specialist is responsible for material movement within the designated area.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Verify materials before they are brought into the production room (match part code, description, barcodes, expiration date, packaging condition, staging bin location, and pallet quantity).
  • Issue materials to the appropriate job numbers as they enter the production room.
  • Inform the Production Supervisor or Coordinator of any discrepancies between barcode and actual quantity.
  • Requisition materials and/or ingredients from Warehouse personnel.
  • Run variance reports and compare material used to material staged, reporting findings to the supervisor or lead promptly.
  • Assist Production Leads when pallet quantities must match tag quantities for materials returning to the Warehouse.
  • Print and monitor bin reports throughout the shift to identify problems and resolve them immediately.
  • Suggest procedural changes to improve inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure staging bin inventory is accurate at the end of each production shift.
  • Assist with breaks and lunches.
  • Maintain a clean, debris‑free area.
  • Follow the company Power Jack policy.
  • Identify ways to control labor and supply costs and improve processes.
  • Perform all work activities with attention to quality, safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures, company policies and GMP requirements.
  • Maintain high safety awareness and report unsafe conditions to management.
  • Accomplish all tasks as assigned or requested.
Skills and Experience
  • 1–3 months of related experience or equivalent education/experience combination.
  • Ability to work overtime, irregular hours, or rotating shifts.
  • Fluent in speaking, writing, and understanding English.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork with various plant personnel.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, formulas, and policies.
  • Accuracy in record‑keeping and mathematical calculations in common units.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications.
  • Adaptability to a constantly changing environment.
  • Proactive safety mindset and readiness to report hazards.
  • Experience or interest in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), continuous improvement, sustainability, and recycling initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Pay rate is $22.56 per hour, plus a $0.75 shift premium for 2nd shift and $1.25 for 3rd shift.
