Position Overview
The Forklift Operator plays a critical role in warehouse and production operations by safely and efficiently loading, unloading, and transporting materials, supporting overall workflow.
Compensation$23.21 per hour, plus $1.25 per hour for shift differential. Overtime as needed. Quarterly bonus structure.
Shift Details- 3rd shift (8:30 PM to 5:00 AM)
- Overtime may be available and sometimes mandatory. Seeking individuals who want 40+ hours per week.
- Maintain accurate FEFO staging to ensure proper rotation of expiration‑dated materials.
- Read and interpret production schedules, customer orders, and work orders to determine material movement needs.
- Transport and distribute materials from receiving or production to designated storage locations.
- Sort and organize materials based on size, type, or product code.
- Support inventory management, including perishable goods storage and accurate staging.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures; report unsafe conditions or damage immediately.
- Contribute to quality and efficiency improvements within the warehouse.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 2 years of stand‑up forklift experience.
- Forklift certification from a recognized institution required within 48 hours of employment.
- Preferred:
Prior stand‑up forklift experience, barcoding knowledge, and experience with automated data collection systems. - Ability to work overtime, irregular schedules, or rotating shifts.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Basic math skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Frequent use of hands for handling materials, tools, and equipment.
- Occasional sitting, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, or smelling.
- Ability to lift or move over 50 pounds occasionally.
- Vision requirements include close, distance, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Moderate noise levels typical of warehouse settings.
- Occasional exposure to airborne particles.
- Exposure to extreme temperatures ranging from below 0°F to above 90°F depending on the work area.
