CNC Machinist - Direct Hire Opportunity
Location: Schaumburg, IL
Pay: $28-$41/hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm + Overtime Available
Kelly Services is actively seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our client's fast-growing, employee-focused team in Schaumburg, IL!

Job Duties:- Read and interpret process sheets, blueprints, setup sheets/cards, machine status boards, and instructions
- Write or revise NC/CNC programs using G-Code or conversational controls (Mazatrol/AOT preferred)
- Set up, operate, and make adjustments to CNC mills/lathes for precise machining
- Use hand tools, manual machines, and machine/install/re-cut chuck jaws as required
- Upload programs, adjust machine offsets, and make minor programming modifications
- Perform preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting on machines
- Train less-experienced machinists as needed
- Inspect your work and the work of others; use calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, and other measuring tools
- Operate multiple machines and rotate between work centers as needed
- Safely move and load/unload parts and materials up to 50 lbs; operate overhead crane
- Develop programs to machine metal or plastic components; select proper materials and tooling
- Collaborate with supervisors, programmers, and support staff to resolve issues
- Participate in CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) investigations for quality improvement
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment; follow all safety protocols
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-high school training in machine trades preferred
- Minimum 4 years' CNC machining experience
- Expertise in G-Code, conversational language (Mazak), CAD/CAM, Fanuc/Mazak controls
- Strong math skills including geometry and trigonometry
- Skilled in blueprint reading, GDT, and measuring equipment
- Experience distinguishing and working with a range of raw materials (steels, alloys, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to train, collaborate, and work safely in a team environment
