Bethel Baptist Church Pastoral Position
Bethel Baptist Church is seeking a spiritually mature, elder-qualified pastor to serve as our Associate Pastor of Ministry Operations.
This role combines pastoral ministry, organizational leadership, financial stewardship, and staff development in support of Bethel's mission of making and maturing disciples of Jesus Christ for the glory of God.
Working closely with the Lead Pastor, fellow pastors, deacons, and ministry directors, the Associate Pastor of Ministry Operations helps ensure that the ministries, people, systems, finances, and resources of the church are aligned around the church's mission and priorities. He serves as a pastoral leader who strengthens ministry effectiveness by providing oversight of operations, financial stewardship, staff coordination, and strategic planning.
We are seeking a pastor who can faithfully shepherd people while wisely stewarding the systems, staff, finances, and resources that support the ministry of the church.
Bethel Baptist Church is a multi-generational and increasingly multi-ethnic church family committed to the faithful preaching of God's Word, intentional discipleship, biblical counseling, meaningful church membership, and global missions.
With an average weekly attendance of approximately 400 people, Bethel seeks to make and mature disciples of Jesus Christ through expository preaching, Christ-centered discipleship, and meaningful involvement in the life of the local church. Our ministry philosophy is rooted in the sufficiency of Scripture and the conviction that healthy churches are built through faithful shepherding, sound doctrine, and intentional disciple-making.
Bethel Baptist Church also operates Schaumburg Christian School, a longstanding ministry serving more than 850 students and their families throughout the greater Chicagoland area. The Associate Pastor of Ministry Operations will work cooperatively with school leadership in matters involving shared facilities, budgeting, strategic planning, and ministry coordination.
Bethel and Schaumburg Christian School reflect the diversity of the communities we serve. More than 30 nations are represented within the school community, creating unique opportunities for gospel ministry, discipleship, and outreach among families from a wide range of cultural backgrounds.
The church and school share a campus, a mission-minded partnership, and a commitment to reaching and discipling the next generation. Together, they provide a unique opportunity for ministry influence, leadership development, and gospel impact across multiple generations.
