Position Highlights
Full‑Time, 38 hours per week.
Monday–Friday, hours varied.
Location:
Schaumburg, Illinois. Travel required.

- Assist physician in ensuring high patient satisfaction and quality care.
- Provide education on disease processes, chemotherapy precautions, possible side effects, and signs and symptoms to report to the M.D.
- Provide information on prosthesis, wigs, nutrition, and treatment of side effects.
- Administer medication to patients as directed by the M.D.
- Initiate IVs via central venous devices or peripheral access and administer chemotherapy pre‑meds, chemotherapy, Remicade, and other medications as prescribed by the M.D.
- Monitor patients closely for adverse reactions, notify the M.D., and treat appropriately per M.D. orders.
- Record treatment given, assess and report patient condition, reaction to drugs, and treatment to the M.D.
- Document medication given, including dosage and route, and record teaching given.
- Adhere to chemotherapy safety and precautions per policy.
- Ensure appropriate equipment is available in case of chemo spill.
- Apply extravasation precautions and treat extravasation if it occurs.
- Assist with bone marrow aspiration/biopsy procedure: obtain consent, prepare equipment, assist with the procedure, and prepare biopsy/aspirate for lab.
- State Registered Nurse license.
- Chemotherapy biotherapy certification obtained within 60 days of hire.
- CPR certification.
- Two years of professional nursing experience in a clinic setting preferred.
- Previous oncology experience preferred.
Base pay range: $32.65–$49.00 per hour, determined by skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity.
Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives.
Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
