RN Triage - Medical Group Central Triage

Role: Registered Nurse - Central Triage/Medical Group

Location: Arlington Heights, IL

• Triages patient calls, manages health concerns, and provides education via telephone following physician protocols.
• Communicates patient messages, lab results, and telehealth reports accurately and promptly.
• Supervises Medical Assistants for prescription refills and prior authorizations.
• Performs initial patient assessments, records vital signs, and identifies urgent issues requiring immediate action.
• Instructs patients on home care preparations and documents interactions in EMR.
• Engages in patient communication to reduce unnecessary appointments and enhance satisfaction.

• Diploma in Nursing required;
  Bachelor's preferred.
• State licensure in Illinois.
• Minimum three years RN experience; one year in telephone triage preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, disease processes, and triage protocols.
• Excellent communication, assessment, and crisis intervention skills.
