Job Summary

The Wellness Advisor at Sunnyside
* will advise customers—recreational, medicinal, and caregivers—in selecting the proper cannabis products for their needs and serve as an ambassador of the company’s mission to normalize, professionalize, and revolutionize cannabis. The role requires customer service, product knowledge, and strict compliance with state regulations to ensure a best‑in‑class experience. Wellness Advisors manage the entire customer lifecycle from check‑in to checkout, with a primary focus on compliance and customer satisfaction.

Core

Job Duties
  • Greet customers, ensuring a best‑in‑class experience.
  • Verify documentation and  customers.
  • Conduct consultations and address standard questions or complaints; escalate issues to management.
  • Build relationships by asking questions and listening attentively to customer needs.
  • Assist customers in product selection through education of cannabis products and their impacts.
  • Apply effective selling and cross‑selling techniques to increase basket size.
  • Verify order accuracy, perform bag and receipt checks, and label/pack orders.
  • Maintain organized product stock that meets compliance regulations.
  • Handle cash accurately, following POS procedures.
  • Maintain records of sales, deliveries, and returns in compliance with state regulations.
  • Conduct routine inventory counts.
  • Follow all security protocols and safety standards.
  • Assist with management of merchandise and product displays.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for customers and team.
Required Experience, Education and Skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience; retail or hospitality preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to engage with customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical and product information in a consultative manner.
  • Willingness to learn about cannabinoids and their interactions with the human body.
  • Regularly required to type, sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and move about the dispensary.

Pay Range

$17.50 - $19.50 USD

Additional Requirements
  • Must be 21 years of age or older to apply.
  • Must comply with all legal and company regulations for industry work.
  • The company does not sponsor employment‑based visas for this role; applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without future sponsorship.
