Step into a Chicago-area Sales Engineering role where you can blend hydraulics knowledge, portfolio ownership, and customer‑facing strategy inside an established advanced fluid power systems business.
Role OverviewThis role is built for a technically grounded Product Manager who understands hydraulic systems and can own a directional valve portfolio from a market, product, and customer strategy standpoint. The right person will be able to speak credibly with customers, guide internal teams on where the portfolio should go, and help position current and future product offerings against application needs in the mobile equipment space.
Responsibilities- Own a mobile directional valve portfolio and serve as the commercial and strategic leader for that product family.
- Understand current product capabilities, identify evolution needs, and connect product capability to customer demand, sales opportunities, and application strategy.
- Speak credibly with customers and guide internal teams on portfolio direction.
- Position products against application needs in the mobile equipment space.

Schaumburg, IL 60173 - Schedule:
Primarily onsite, typically 4 days in office with 1 hybrid day - Travel:
Moderate travel (40% weekday travel expected for customer visits, sales support, and market engagement)
- High‑visibility role tied directly to a core mobile hydraulics product family
- Strong blend of technical product work and commercial strategy
- Direct interaction with sales, applications engineering, leadership, and customers
- Opportunity to influence roadmap, portfolio direction, and market growth
- Chicago‑area team presence with one hybrid day built in
- Base salary target around $120K-$130K, with bonus potential
