Commercial Lines Insurance Senior Account Manager needed for an Insurance Agency in Schaumburg, IL! Hybrid Remote!

  • HOURS: Full-Time Hours, Monday to Friday
    • 8:30 am - 5 pm or 9:00 am - 5:30 pm
  • DURATION: Direct Hire
  • WORKSITE: Hybrid environment. This means in office 3x/week for the first month, 1x/week thereafter.
    • Should there be an important team or client meeting, you must be open to coming in office or travelling to client's office. Travel costs covered by the agency!
  • PAY: Depending on experience, $95,000 - $100,000 per year.

Job Duties

Will be managing a middle market book, approximately $650k in revenue; 20 accounts;
Manufacture, Retail, Energy.

  • Support the Account Executive on larger accounts. Also, cover the Account Executive's desk when they are out in the field.
  • Relationship management of client.
  • Proficient understanding of compliance, renewal & marketing (RFP), reporting & analytics, and able to perform these functions with little guidance from Account Executive and/or Managers.
  • Independently, or in partnership with Client Executives or other colleagues, leads client meetings and presentations.
  • Special projects as assigned which may include client presentations, functions, and meetings.
  • Acts as a liaison between carriers and vendors and communicates accurate details relating to P&C programs.
  • Coordinates with Customer Service team and/or Account Representatives, the ordering and issuing binders, certificates, policies, endorsements, and other items. Verifies accuracy.
  • Reviews and verifies policy, audits, calculates premiums, and establish payment method.
  • Maintains accurate client and policy data and documents within AMS
    360 system/IR.
  • Develops sales or cross-selling opportunities with current clients.
  • Maintains confidentiality of Company and customer information.
  • Other duties and tasks as needed and/or requested.
Qualifications
  • The Senior Account Manager will need to have 10+ years of recent experience working as a Commercial Senior Account Manager within an independent agency.
  • Must want to continue to learn and grow. This agency encourages career growth and they offer support to obtain and maintain designations.
  • A very high level of customer service is required.
    • I.E. This agency does actual presentations for pre-renewal and renewals to clients. They don't just email information.
  • Experienced with preparing proposals, contract review, marketing, giving presentations, negotiations with underwriting.
  • Experience with generalized risks and lines of coverage including General Liability, Workers' Comp, CL Auto, Professional Liability, etc.
  • Experience with large risks preferred, minimum of $100,000 in annual premium!
  • Must have experience with large National Carriers;
    Chubb, Travelers, Sompo, etc.
  • Proficiency with AMS 360 & Image Right preferred.
  • Intermediate - Advanced MS Office Suite required.
  • Current IL P&C License.
  • This role will require periodic travel to client and carrier meetings, as well as industry events. 25%-30% travel.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available. W2 only.
