Job Description & How to Apply Below

Rapid Air is a leading designer and manufacturer of branded compressed air solutions including piping, fittings, filtration, and accessories, and serving transportation, manufacturing, industrial, energy, agricultural, and consumer markets.

In 2024, Gryphon Investors acquired a controlling interest in Rapid Air through its Heritage Fund, positioning the company for significant growth. Together, we’re expanding into new markets, strengthening customer relationships, and leveraging macro industrial trends to scale Rapid Air’s leadership in the compressed air space.

Job Summary: The Product Specialist will develop and deliver product training programs that equip our channel partners with the knowledge and confidence to sell and position Rapid Air solutions effectively. This is a hands‑on, content‑forward role that sits within the Product function and serves both external partners and internal teams.

You’ll own the full training lifecycle, from building curriculum to standing in front of a room (or a screen) and delivering it. You’ll serve as a go‑to resource on product knowledge across the organization.

Please note that this is an in‑office role, based in our Schaumburg corporate HQ. On‑site presence is required.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and maintain deep knowledge of Rapid Air’s compressed air product line, including specifications, applications, and updates, to serve as a credible product resource across the organization
  • Design, develop, and deliver product training for channel partners (distributors, dealers, resellers) and internal teams in both virtual and in‑person formats
  • Build and maintain training materials including presentations, quick‑reference guides, demo scripts, and e‑learning content
  • Conduct product demonstrations for customers, channel partners, and internal stakeholders to showcase features, benefits, and real‑world applications
  • Identify customer needs, recommend appropriate products, and provide technical or product‑related support to drive informed purchasing decisions
  • Translate technical product features into clear, compelling sales‑focused messaging that helps partners position Rapid Air products in the market
  • Support sales and marketing teams by contributing to promotional materials, sales collateral, and go‑to‑market content
  • Address post‑sale customer inquiries, resolve product‑related issues, and gather feedback to inform continuous improvement
  • Track training participation and effectiveness; iterate based on feedback
  • Partner with the Product Portfolio Director to align training content with product launches, updates, and market priorities
  • Travel to customer and partner sites to deliver in‑person training (approximately 25%)

What You’ll Bring:

  • 3‑4 years in industrial product support, applications engineering, or technical training role, ideally within compressed air / fluid power products
  • Ability to speak credibly to both technical and non‑technical audiences; hands‑on knowledge of compressed air systems is preferred
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills; comfortable in front of a room and on camera
  • Demonstrated ability to develop training content from scratch, not just deliver existing materials
  • Self‑directed and organized; able to manage multiple programs and deadlines without a lot of structure
  • Proficiency with common content creation and virtual training tools (PowerPoint, Zoom/Teams, LMS platforms a plus)

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed for meetings and acquisitions
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally

Rapid Air Products offers the opportunity to join a growing, market‑leading platform backed by a premier private equity sponsor. This role provides meaningful ownership, visibility, and the opportunity to directly impact the company’s digital growth strategy.
