Position OverviewHome Pros is looking for a motivated Lead Generator / Inside Sales Representative to join our Chicago team.
This role is focused on outbound prospecting, cold calling, lead qualification, and setting qualified appointments for our Marketing Consultants. The right candidate will be consistent, organized, comfortable making a high volume of calls, and able to clearly communicate the value of Home Pros products and services to prospective clients.
This position may remain focused strictly on lead generation, but we are also open to someone who starts in this role and grows into an outside sales position if it is the right fit.
Key Responsibilities In this role, you will:- Source, identify, and qualify prospective home improvement businesses for outreach
- Make outbound cold calls to potential customers
- Follow up on leads and prior conversations
- Set qualified appointments for Marketing Consultants
- Meet daily and weekly call volume goals
- Build pipeline and develop familiarity with the Chicagoland territory
- Learn customer needs and identify potential sales opportunities
- Answer basic questions and send follow-up information as needed
- Maintain accurate sales activity and lead information in the CRM
- Stay current on Home Pros products, services, and updates
- Learn and communicate the benefits of Home Pros print and digital marketing solutions
- Practice objection handling, call discipline, and consistent follow‑up
- Attend sales meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews as required
- Comfortable making outbound cold calls
- Persistent, organized, and goal‑oriented
- Able to handle rejection and stay consistent
- A strong communicator over the phone and email
- Curious and willing to learn the home improvement advertising space
- Comfortable using a CRM or willing to learn
- Reliable, self‑motivated, and accountable to activity goals
- Interested in sales, business development, or a path toward outside sales
- Prior inside sales, appointment setting, lead generation, or telemarketing experience
- Experience with B2B sales or local business outreach
- Familiarity with CRM systems
- Basic Microsoft Office skills, including Excel
