Job Purpose

The Commercial Insurance Agent is responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and providing insurance solutions tailored to commercial clients. This role requires strong sales abilities, industry knowledge, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service while driving revenue growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Generate new commercial insurance business through prospecting, referrals, and networking.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Evaluate client needs and recommend appropriate commercial insurance products and coverage options.
  • Prepare quotes, proposals, and policy presentations.
  • Negotiate coverage terms and pricing with carriers when applicable.
  • Assist clients with policy renewals, endorsements, and coverage reviews.
  • Respond promptly to client inquiries and provide ongoing account support.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation within agency systems.
  • Stay current on insurance regulations, carrier products, and market trends.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless client experience.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of commercial insurance experience required.
  • Strong sales, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
  • Knowledge of commercial insurance policies and coverage lines.
  • Trucking insurance experience is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and professional.
  • Proficient with agency management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
