We are seeking an R&D Technician to join our R&D team. Individuals should have an interest in supporting scientific projects and laboratory testing, good written and verbal communication skills, be independently motivated, and be computer proficient.

Location: Schaumburg, IL office.

Salary range: $44K-$52K, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing formulations for dental materials (e.g., adhesives, composites, etc.)
  • Assist in preparing dental specimens for material testing
  • Conduct material characterization, physical property, application, and analytical testing
  • Document laboratory experiments
  • Provide technical support, training, and general information on laboratory activities
  • Assist in the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment and instruments
  • Assist in laboratory cleanliness via 5S activities
  • Conduct work safely and effectively in accordance with all HSE requirements
  • Participate in Health, Safety, and Environmental initiatives
  • Comply with BISCO policies and procedures
  • Perform other laboratory duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • General computer skills (Windows, email, internet); proficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel); able to learn and use business software applications
  • Able to use or learn to use laboratory equipment, instruments, and lab notebooks
  • Able to communicate technical information
Preferred
  • Associate Degree
  • Previous experience in medical device or testing laboratories
  • Previous experience in handling chemicals
  • Experience with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
